I came here Sunday afternoon after an event. I had not eaten that day and was hungry. Me and my boyfriend shared the carnitas plate and the birria plate. We also ordered consomé and horchata. The dishes are served with a side of handmade tortillas.

The carnitas were a bit tough and dry. But the birria was very delicious and tasted great with the consomé. The horchata was delicious as well. And is the only horchata that I like.

I would return to this restaurant and order the birria a second time.

Best nopales I've ever had! I ordered the nopales with eggs and a nopales salad on the side, because I was super hungry! They even have handmade tortillas made from yellow corn!!!

My boyfriend had sopes and a bunch of tacos.  He loved them so much, that he regretted not ordering one to go!

Cousin ordered the consome and sope as well!  Obviously, she loved her food also!

Their chips and salsa bar is filled with pepinos, radishes, pickled carrots, jalapeños, chips and their delicious salsas: spicy red, pico, guacamole based and my fav - their tomatillo based one!

So happy I found this place!  I'm definitely coming back to try some soups!

FYI, I was raised in Oakland, right by the Fruitvale neighborhood.  One reviewer mentioned that this food doesn't compare to Oakland's Mexican food scene.  I'd have to say that I don't agree, this food was DELICIOUS! Not sure why people are hating on this place!

Yummy Mexican food, buckets of beer and sports on all TVs?  What more can you ask for?

Very impressive salsa bar. I'm a salsa guy and I'm hard to impress. All 4 salsas had great flavor. I usually only like 1 salsa at most places. The neighborhood is not great and the building is old but besides that, this is authentic. It has that Mexico feeling. Fast, friendly, and affordable. Even the pico de gallo had flavor, I was surprised.
